I was deployed to the phillipines while in okinawa. It was so sad to see there living conditions. Kids are running around all day trying to sell you necklaces and shirts. In some parts it looked like they lived in cardboard boxes. I was so sad when I seen this. When we pulled into port a line of people were waiting for us and they began begging us for food. I gave most of my food away but then I was told by a phillipino army officer not to give them food. So I had to quit. although the towns were not very pretty, the water was so beautiful.
